David Robinson has been the Editor-in-Chief of Positive Feedback for 26 years, first in paper ‘n ink for 13 years, and now fully online for 13 years. His interest in audio goes back to his high school years, at the age of 16, when he purchased a reel-to-reel recorder and began to make recordings of local friends in rock ‘n roll and blues bands in Walnut Creek, CA. He continued his love of audio during college, producing both live and studio recordings of groups for a weekly radio show at the campus FM station. Dr. Robinson also plays the guitar, and collects music in various formats. He has also been a writer/editor for various magazines and book projects, many unrelated to audio. Additionally, David Robinson is a teacher, professor, and fine art photographer for decades.
Positive Feedback was launched back in 1990 as a print publication devoted to high-end audio. Now online, PF has a worldwide readership and a solid reputation as a leading journal of the audio arts. It reflects the qualities most important to its editors: Creativity, community, and a passionate commitment to audio and its possibilities.
