Chris ConnakerFounderAudiophile Style
Chris Connaker is the Founder of Audiophile Style (formerly Computer Audiophile), a site dedicated to the convergence of HiFi and high tech. He received a B.A. (Summa Cum Laude) from St. Cloud State University in 1998. Chris has over a decade of experience designing, configuring, and managing global IT networks for Fortune 500/1000 companies. He is an audiophile who has loved music and high quality sound for as long as he can remember. While taking his music listening experience to the next level, moving from a disc-based system to a computer-based system, Chris discovered audiophiles everywhere were struggling to find answers about music servers and the technology in general. In 2007 Chris combined his extensive background in Information Technology and his passion for music to start Computer Audiophile. In 2009 Chris left his IT career to focus solely on Computer Audiophile. In addition to reviewing computer and audio equipment, conducting interviews, hosting events such as the Computer Audiophile Symposium at Fantasy Studios, and writing how-to articles, Chris is an audio technology consultant to manufacturers, dealers, distributors, record labels, and consumers all over the world. Chris' favorite band has been Pearl Jam from the day he purchased the Ten CD in August 1991. He has seen the band perform live at Wrigley Field, the PJ20 anniversary concerts at Alpine Valley, and at Lollapalooza in 1992. Chris currently resides in Minneapolis, MN with his wife and daughter.
